WHY SOMALI BOYS/GIRLS CANNOT UNDERSTAND THE LANGUAGE OF LOVE?
Let's frame the word language of love? If you know love speaks its own language. The language of love it's an intimacy word or sound that start deep from our heart where true happiness is found. So, the question is why Somali boy/girl cannot understand the language of love?
There are many reasons, however, the bottom line is that we never seen or grew up with family of love. I mean we weren't been taught what love consists of? Also we were reluctant not to learn the meaning of love. However, those Somalis who are in western countries want to change the old method and want to follow the westernized. But, the problem is they don't know how to adopt the western culture. Therefore, they are in between the two cultural. What I mean by this, is that they left their culture and they haven't reached the western culture yet. So, if we study ISLAM properly then we can overcome any problem. Don't get me wrong, many Somalis don't know the religion properly. This is because, we saw our parents praying and then we start praying too. So, for this reason many Somalis see the western culture as an alternative.
We all have a theory in our brain and our theory could be what we ask for ideal partner to be. For instance, the following are the typical specifications for both Somali boy and girl:
* Caring
* Loving
* Honest
* Faithful
* Decent
* Respect
* Commitment
* Trust
* Loyalty
* Good looking
* Friendly
* Funny
* Open minded
* And so on.
However, the question remain is how do we put the theory part into practical? And as we all know the practical part is always hard. Therefore, most of Somali boys and girls have the theory but they haven't done the practical.
In my research I have found out that most Somali girls cannot express their feelings at all. The reason is that they cannot handle the practical part of love. However, I have to admit that there are some good girls out there, but they are rare. From my experience most of the girls that I met or interviewed with, they don't think about the reality so, they live in illusion world instead. All they care about is:
* What he says?
* What she says?
* What they say?
* What we say?
They are always playing game like lying to different boys. So, they have the ideology and the habit of betraying their loved ones. They don't understand the internal feelings.
In my opinion, they have to forget all these games and try to challenge with other women's. What is missing from them is educations. As one of the legends says: To educate a man is to educate an individual but to educate a woman is to educate and liberate a nation. My point is we want our sisters to be educated, intelligent, bright and be ahead of other women's. This is because, the whole nation is depending on our sisters for the new generations. We can only produce good healthy generation when the foundation is right. The foundation is our Somali sisters. We can only achieve our aims, when we collaborate. Therefore, let's walk through the steps:
* Stop lying.
* Don't betray anyone because, as we are all brothers and sisters.
* Respect each other.
* Help each other.
* Stop wasting time.
* Make a use of your time.
* Listen to each others view.
* Advice each other.
* Stop following the western culture.
* Follow Islam because, it's the way of life and we can only achieve our goals when we follow the right path.
* Learn Islam.
* Get educated and make sure you educate others too.
* Think about what you can do for others.
* Analyze your self by carrying out
* Make future target
Finally, remember life is tough. Therefore, we have to work very hard to achieve our targets and our target is to educate our nations so, we can have better life for our self and for our children.
